Preston + Tessa
Hello,
We are Preston & Tessa Michalski. We met while we were both waiting tables to pay our way through college. While it would be nice to say, “we looked across the busy restaurant, over the steaming sandwiches, and fell head over heels in love right away.” That’s not quite our story. Our love took a little longer to develop.
That’s okay though, because when we did fall in love (it didn’t take TOO long), we fell through walls we didn’t even realize we had put up. We realized we didn’t want to imagine life apart.
The beauty in our love story isn’t that it’s a perfect story about two perfect people.
The beauty is that it’s real.
It’s ours.
In January 2020,
we celebrated our own wedding day, which is funny because starting newlywed life in quarantine during a pandemic doesn’t sound ideal, (it WAS hard sometimes!) but it is a part of our story that we wouldn’t change because it allowed us to slow down and spend time together.
We have been adventuring through life together ever since, with our little dog, Ponyo. We take the opportunity to travel whenever we can, and try to make it a practice to find things to be grateful for right where we are.
Our Style
We have a deep passion for not only capturing memories and moments, but creating art that you can feel. We specialize in creating soft, nostalgic, filmy images and films. We also lean heavily into a documentary style. Meaning we want to capture your day as authentically and uniquely as it happens. We are looking for all the little details and moments that might slip through the cracks.
We believe that every love story is worth telling, and we would love to be a part of helping you tell yours.
